- ¼ 1/4 Chinese cabbage
- 200g Sliced Pork Belly
Soup ingredients
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 ts Douban-jan(Chinese Fermented bean Paste with chili)
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs chicken soup paste
- 2½ cups water (600ml)

Begin by preparing the Chinese cabbage. Separate the leafy part from the stem. Cut the leafy part into 2-inch pieces crosswise, and thinly slice the stem diagonally, resembling shavings.
Slice the thinly sliced pork belly into 2-inch strips lengthwise.
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the pork belly until it is no longer pink and has separated. Add minced garlic and Doubanjan paste to the pan. Cook on high heat until the spiciness and fragrance activate. Then, add soy sauce to the hot pan to impart a smoky flavor. Add the prepared Chinese cabbage and chicken soup base, then bring the mixture to a boil.
Meanwhile, boil the Chinese noodles in a separate pot according to the package instructions.
Drain the cooked noodles and transfer them to a warm ramen bowl. Ladle the flavorful soup over the noodles.Garnish the ramen with chopped scallion and ground sesame seeds. If desired, sprinkle with sesame oil for added flavor.
